Maintenance Technician - Building Services
Plymouth Pavilions is the South West’s premier entertainment and conference centre and we attract over 300,000 visitors each year to our Arena and Ice Rink. Our 4,000 capacity Arena presents a highly varied and diverse range of live shows, concerts, sports and corporate events and is supported by various catering and retail outlets.
The Maintenance Technician is charged with supporting the Building Services team, reporting to the Building Services Coordinator. You will be responsible for providing prompt responses to day to day maintenance and repair requests arising from the buildings use, providing support to electrical mechanical technicians and daily responsibilities, including defective lamp changes, minor repairs to fixtures and fittings, meter readings and general building maintenance across the whole site ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, with the support of colleagues and outside contractors where appropriate.
The ideal candidate will have excellent demonstrable DIY skills and experience of maintaining a complex site. You will possess outstanding customer service and communication skills and be willing to be on call, out of hours in the event of an emergency.
