Emergency works road closure – Bretonside

This week Plymouth Waterfront Partnership has been made aware that there is a road closure at Bretonside, due to commence on Sunday 3 September for up to three months.

We have made enquiries about this and can confirm that the closure is due to emergency works which need to be carried out by Western Power in relation to cables under the highway.

There will be clear diversionary signage. Click here for a detailed map of the signage plan.

We appreciate that the road closure may give some of our BID members cause for concern, so we have begun a swift review of our options on signage to ensure traffic is aware that businesses in the affected area remain open.

Road closure: Bretonside - from its junction with Exeter Street to its junction with Hawkers Avenue, in a westerly direction only.

Diversion: Exeter Street, Charles Cross Roundabout, Exeter Street, St Andrews Cross Roundabout, Kinterbury Street, Bretonside.
