The shopping and celebrations start at the Royal William Yard with a Christmas Good Food Market from 10am on Sunday 6 December, where visitors will be able to stock up on some of the best festive local food and drink from across the South West and children will be able to visit Santa in his special ‘cruise’ Grotto.
Then on to the Barbican and Sutton Harbour, where you will be provided with an afternoon of Christmas themed family fun as part of the Barbican Christmas Lights Switch-on event.
The Barbican provides a huge variety of unique shops and gift ideas and from 2pm to 5pm there will be a range of entertainment on The Parade including carol singers and a performance from the Far Flung Dance Theatre Company.
Christmas lights will line Southside Street and the tree on The Parade will be lit when the light go on at 4pm. Santa will be dropped off at Commercial Wharf by the RNLI Rib at 3.45pm before walking to Southside Street (where it joins Basket Ope) to do the official switch-on.
We are proving and Christmas shuttle service between The Royal William Yard and the Barbican on Sunday 6 December - times to be confirmed on Tuesday 1 December.
