Plymouth Pirate Weekend is finalist in Devon Tourism Award

It has been announced that Plymouth Pirate Weekend, funded by the Plymouth Waterfront Partnership, is one of the finalists in the Visit Devon Tourism Awards 2014.


The event is in the Tourism Event of the Year category and will be awarded Gold, Silver or Bronze at this year's award ceremony on Wednesday 19 November.


This is an excellent achievement as this year saw a record of 130 entries in the Devon awards - over 25% up on last year.




Congratulations also go out to the other Plymouth finalists:

  • Langdon Court Hotel - Commended for Small Hotel of the Year

  • Plymouth Gin - Finalist for Small Visitor Attraction of the Year

  • Moorland Garden Hotel - Commended for the Taste of Devon Award

  • National Marine Aquarium - Finalist for Venue and Business Tourism Award and Commended for the Sustainable Tourism Award

  • Le Vignoble - Finalist for Tourism Activity, Sport and Experience of the Year
