Changes to waste bins around the Barbican

Here at the Plymouth Waterfront Partnership we want to give thanks and praise to those amazing people that support us in our task of improving Plymouth's Waterfront.

Today’s thanks goes to Sarah Easton the most tremendous lady who is a force to be reckoned with. She is working with PWP to find workable solutions to deal with the issues of bins and commercial waste in the Barbican.

Sarah Said “Southside Street entrance improvements is the first of many more positive improvements to the age old issue of bins across the Barbican.

After joining the Council just over a month ago it was made clear to me, in no uncertain terms by Cllr. Dann, that this is a top priority project as it’s been a problem for many years. This first success has just required some partnership working with Barbican businesses, PWP, Sutton Harbour, 3rd party waste contractors and other colleagues within PCC.

I am really grateful for the support I have received from Cllr Dann as a member of the PWP Advisory Panel to help us achieve this. Now relationships are in place and with everyone wanting to achieve the same goal, more exciting changes are on the cards. Watch this space………..”
