Plymouth Pirate Weekend 14 & 15 May 2016
Plymouth Waterfront Partnership has commissioned the Plymouth City Council’s Events Team to deliver Plymouth Pirate Weekend for us again this year.We’re pleased to share the below information about how you can get involved and help to make this year even better than last year. Plymouth Pirate Weekend 14 & 15 May 2016 on The Barbican and Sutton Harbour Arggh me hearties! Pirate Weekend is back with a huge programme this year and some fantastic new additions – you can download the programmes for Saturday 14th, Sunday 15th.
The event is based over different areas of the Barbican (Quay Square, West Pier and Commercial Wharf) with a programme of pirate themed family entertainment from 10am – 4pm. New additions this year include our first Pirate School with Swashbuckling School, Horrible History styled canon firing, Ship Surgeons, Letters of the Marques and an 18m inflatable Whale that kids (and big kids) are able to go inside and be told the treacherous tales of the washed ashore pirate and his Mermaid.
The event will see our firm favourites return including Melody the Mermaid and her Mermaid School,Pirate Puppet Shows and of course our very own Jonty Depp!
Best Dressed Business Competition
Forget the Oscars, Brits and Baftas, the most highly anticipated and sought after award is coming to Pirate Weekend this year! Businesses can win the accolade of ‘Best Dressed Business’ over the weekend which the public and a few pirates can vote for during the event. So get your Jolly Roger flag, eye patches and pirate hats at the ready!

The winner will be announced on the Sunday and receive the trophy to display proudly until next year.Good luck!
