The Waterfront Business Improvement District (BID) has been in operation since April 2012 and is delivered through Plymouth Waterfront Partnership (PWP), a not-for-proft PLC.
The BID represents more than 600 businesses across three square miles of click here the Plymouth Waterfront area. Businesses include accommodation providers, attractions, licensed premises, marinas, professional service providers and retailers paying a 1.5%Levy based on their ratable value. Plymouth Waterfront businesses voted in favour to fund the first five years of the Business Improvement District in March 2012 and the BID will operate until the end of March 2017. The BID Business Plan’s forty two projects include Marketing, Events, Visitor Signage, Cleaner, Safer, Environmental Improvement and Regeneration.
PWP works in close partnership with the Plymouth City Centre Company BID, Destination Plymouth and Plymouth City Council.
